What a pet is for
Pets add placement slots, gold, or stats. They are not a replacement for towers. A raid test that tried to clear Nightmare with attacking pets and no towers failed around wave 10.
Pet Crates cost 500 Gems at Gary the Snail's Pet Shop, across from the Mounts shop near the raid entrance. Gems for crates come from quests, raid tiers, the battle pass, and AFK chests.
Community ranking, not an official list
Creators grouped pets by placement and economy, not by a developer tier.
| Group | Pet | Why it was grouped there |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Potty the Parrot | Exotic. +1 placement for every unit in the loadout, plus damage, range, and SPA. Also listed at 1,299 Robux as a direct buy. |
| Top | Snail Fail | Prismatic with 3 placement slots. Other prismatics in this set have 2. Earnable from level milestones and AFK. Max Level Potions were used to push it toward level 250, about 15% more stats than the older cap. |
| Top | Fluffy | Secret crate pet. +10% match gold, plus damage and range. Used in endless to afford expensive towers early. |
| Next | Donkey Fish | Attacking pet. Headbutt listed at 45,000 damage and +3 placement. |
| Next | SPU and Rocky | SPU is the easy prismatic to fuse. Rocky is a limited crate pet that reaches about 51% to 52% stats when maxed. |
| Lower | Lab Squidward, T119A, Clam, Toaster, Spatula | Usable stats. Clam comes from index progress and has no extra placement. T119A was described as retired from crates. Spatula is the original prismatic and a trade piece more than a best-in-slot pet. |
An AFK rework also lists SPU-31: +2 placement, +50% gold, +32 damage, +32 range, and -32% cooldown. That is a separate AFK pet from the crate SPU.
Leveling
Feed pets the same unit food you feed towers. Standard food reaches level 50. Fuse a level 50 pet with 5 duplicates to raise a star, up to 5 stars, then level that pet to 100. A maxed 5-star level 100 pet is about 50% to 52% above its level 1 modifiers. Star Potions do not work on pets. Shiny and Wumbo tags add a flat bonus, often 10% or more at level 1.
Equip the pet that fixes your current problem. Potty or Snail Fail if you are placement-capped. Fluffy if the first waves are a cash problem. A raw stat pet if you already have the slots.
